Alex Tougas

Alex Tougas first went to a bmx track in 2005 because he had been wanting to ride since he was 2 1/2 so his father took him to the track down by his house (Ridge Meadows bmx) and he LOVED it. His favourite race is the Disney Cup in Orlando, Florida. His favourite track is Rad Canyon bmx in Salt Lake City Utah. Alex's goals for 2012 are to train hard to improve his US NAG standing and to try to stay in top 5 CAD NAG. Alex wants to go to the BC team and turn junior in bmx so he can compete in the UCI SX series and eventually make it to the Olympics in bmx.

Past Achievements Include
8th at worlds 2007, top 4 CAD ABA NAG since 2007, #9 US NAG 2011, 1st BC cup series since 06, 2nd in UCI CAD Champs 2006, 2008 and 2010, BC devo since 2007

Ryan Tougas

Ryan Tougas the youngest and biggest shredder on the Yess Team. First started riding when he was 4 in 2006 at Ridge Meadows bmx because his brother did it.  His favourite national of the season is Canadian Grands. His favourite track is Victoria. His favourite racers are Tory Nyhaug, Brook Crain and Bubba Harris. Ryan's goals for 2012 season are to place in the top of his national age group and participate in a US national and make his main. Ryan wants to be on the National team for bmx and compete in the UCI SX circuit along with one day going to the Olympics.

Past Achievements Include
 5th 2007 worlds, ABA CNAG #1 every year since 2007 rather than 2008 when he got 2nd, #1 in BC cup since 2007, 1st in BC champs since 2007, CCA CAD champ 2008 and 2010, On Youth Devo BC team

Laurie Harding

Laurie Harding's first time on a bmx track was in 2003 at Kamloops bmx but she didn't start racing till later. She doesn't have a favourite national or track because any track for a true bmxer is a good one! Her favourite riders are Kevin and Shanda Hill because they never give up. Laurie's goals for her 2012 season are to have fun, get fast and make her team proud. Laurie's goals with bmx are to help grow the sport and encourage as many girls/women to get into the sport. She also wants to get better at riding and improve awareness in the community.

Past Achievements Include
2 time Canadian National title holder, has been National #1, BC #1, CNAG #1 and W #4 in 2007 and redline cup champ

James Palmer



James Palmer first rode a BMX track when he was 6 years old as an alternative to racing Motocross. His passion has always been BMX but also enjoys competing at a high level of Soccer and Alpine Ski racing. James represented Canada in France and the Ukraine at the age of 11 in Soccer and then went on to win the San Marino Cup in Italy at the age of 12. James is also a competitive Alpine/Ski Cross racer and has been a member of the Vancouver Ski Team for the last 2 years. In BMX, James’ favourite tracks are the Chula Vista SX track, ORL BMX in Florida and Wittier BMX in LA. His goals for the 2012 BMX season are to participate in the World Championships in Birmingham and qualify for the Junior Men main event. Additionally, James is focussed on qualifying for a Supercross race as well as achieve top 5 in the 2012 Canadian National Championships in his first year as an Elite. Future goals are to qualify and represent Canada for the 2016 Olympics!

Past Achievements Include
5x Canadian ABA Nag #1, 4x Canadian ABA Nag #1 in Cruiser, 5x Canadian ABA Grand Nationals 1st place, Canadian National #2 Junior Elite Men 2011, Top 10 in North America Junior Rankings as of Dec 2011, 3x BC Cup Champion, 3 podium finishes at Canadian National Championships

Georges Kreuzkamp

Georges Kreuzkamp went to Action bmx for the first time in 1999! His favourite national of the season is the Canadian Grand Nationals. His favourite track is Action bmx still after 13 years of riding it! His favourite rider is Tory Nyhaug. Georges goals for 2012 are to do the Canadian National series and BC cup series and have fun, meet new people and help grow bmx in Canada.

Past Achievements Include
6 time National Champion, 10 time BC cup champion, 4 time Provincial Champion

Paige Zarazun

Paige Zarazun started riding when she was 4 years old. Her grandmother took her to Ridge Meadows BMX to watch her cousin race. She absolutely loved riding her bike already, so the next weekend her dad bought her a little pink Barbie bike that he was sure was perfect and off to the races she went! Her Favourite national of the season is the Canadian Championships because its right near the end of the season, and the build up towards that race throughout the year gets her really excited. Her all time favourite track is Quebec City because she feels so smooth riding it which gives her the confidence to try new things. Her favourite racer is Tory Nyhaug, because he's unreal. Paige's goals for her 2012 racing season are to make it to the states for Phoenix and Salt Lake City as well as do the Abbotsford SX track. She also hopes to podium in her first year elite!

2nd place 2004 world champs, 6th place at 2007 world champs, 5x National Champ in amateur, 2nd in Junior Women at National Champs 2010, 2011 Canadian Junior Women National Champ

Drew Mechielsen

Drew Mechielsen first road on a bmx track when she was 3 years old at Langley bmx. Drew's favourite national of the year is Salt Lake City national. Her favourite track is also Salt Lake City (Rad Canyon bmx). Her favourite rider is Sam Willoughby. Drew's goals for 2012 are to perfect her jumping and manualing skills and to win US NAG #1. Her overall goals for bmx are to turn pro and make the Olympics!

Jimmy Brown


Jimmy Brown started his BMX career in Calgary when is Father found out about the local track from a co-worker. Now his favourite national is Winter Nationals in Phoenix. His all time favourite track is the 2011 South Africa world cup track. Jimmy's goal for his 2012 season is to qualify to the Olympics. His goal overall is to become an Olympian and be a good roll model for the young riders out at the track.
